The latest generation builds on this success by improving aerodynamic efficiency by over 6 watts compared to the previous version and reducing overall weight by 124 grams. The front end of the frame sees the most significant changes, with deeper fork legs and a refined head tube profile that contribute to smoother airflow and increased speed. The S5s updated one-piece HB19 handlebar and stem use the Plus-Four design, positioning the hoods 4 centimeters narrower than the drops to encourage a more aerodynamic body position while preserving stability during sprints and descents.

The Reserve 57|64 wheelset was co-developed with Reserve specifically for the new S5. This setup features asymmetric profiles that match the seat tube shape, allowing air to move cleanly across the frame and wheels as a cohesive system. The wheels deliver a 3-watt improvement over the previous Reserve 52|63 model without adding weight.
