The bearings are CeramicSpeeds coated race ceramic bearings. CeramicSpeed utilizes Grade 3 Silicon Nitride balls that possess the best possible surface finish and roundness. In testing, the balls are 400% smoother, 128% harder, and 58% lighter than standard steel balls found in most bike components. Theyre more than 100% smoother and 15% harder than standard ceramic balls. Coated races are even smoother and longer lasting than their standard race counterparts, as its a metallic layer on top of the races, three microns thick and 75% harder than hardened steel races. The kit comes with two seventeen-tooth pulleys and are held in place with CeramicSpeeds carbon-reinforced plastic arms, and the pulleys are secured with titanium bolts. The kit weighs 70g. It comes with a bottle of their Pulley Wheel oil for proper lubrication.

This kit is compatible with Shimano 9100 Series, Mechanical and Electronic.

In terms of cassette size compatibility, this kit should work with cassettes ranging up to 28 teeth for Shimano, 32 for SRAM. Some derailleur hangers may make it impossible to get to these maximum sizes.

As you can imagine, installing this system is a bit more involved than replacing pulleys. Rest-assured, it is more straightforward than you fear. Youll need a set of Allen keys. You can perform the installation on the bike or off, though on makes the installation a bit easier.
